Studio Egret West's landscape direction is often rooted in site-specific inspiration. These may be visible or invisible references discovered through site visits, and research and often manifest through the retention of existing features or abstract portrayal of former uses and stories. Our intent is to create authentic landscapes which connect audiences in creative ways with a specific environment. We also follow an ambition to draw the qualities of the surrounding countryside into our cities. In doing this we aim to improve and repair ecological connectivity through urban areas and make nature accessible to all.
