Urban Designer
Studio Egret West is looking for a qualified Urban Designer to join its practice in London.
About
Studio Egret West is an award-winning transdisciplinary practice of 80 architects, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, model makers, and filmmakers working on a range of transformative mixed-use, placemaking projects.
We are seeking a dynamic, creative Urban Designer, with the skills to guide projects through planning and beyond, both in the UK and internationally, to join our studio on a permanent basis.
Your workload will range from evolving large-scale framework plans to more detailed masterplans of varying densities and characters, focused on mixed-use urban placemaking.
We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills and a confident approach. You will work in mixed teams of urban designers, architects, landscape architects, and large external design teams. Experience in the UK is fundamental for this role. Experience delivering projects in the Middle East is advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in large-scale masterplanning teams, with great imagination and graphic skills.

Required
Experience in running large-scale mixed-use projects
High density housing experience (preferably pre-planning stage)
Sketch/develop designs on paper or digitally
Proven ability of working directly with clients and other consultants
Ability to work effectively in large project teams
UK experience is a must. Experience working in the Middle East is advantageous
Proficiency in Revit is desirable, but training can be provided
Relevant permit for working in the UK
Beneficial
Knowledge of Microstation and Rhino
Degree in Urban Design or Architecture
Good working knowledge of Adobe Suite skills
Excellent communication and coordination skills
Strong Leadership skills
