A collaborative and interdisciplinary design process ensures that the communities inhabiting the spaces we design ultimately make them their own.”

My approach to designing public spaces is based on the belief that they should emerge from an understanding of how stakeholders and communities intend to use them. Workshops and conversations undertaken during the design process should ensure proposals are informed by the people who will use the space on a day-to-day basis.

My belief in a people-focused design approach led me to join Studio Egret West, where a collaborative and interdisciplinary design process ensures that the communities inhabiting the spaces we design ultimately make them their own.

Before joining Studio Egret West I worked for Vogt Landscape Architects on a number of projects, ranging from the design of small urban spaces to large-scale developments. Most recently I worked on the construction of the public realm surrounding two large office buildings located in the City of London. The key aim of this project was to make a more welcoming and useable environment for the public.
