Philip Dennis
Graphic Designer
During my design career, I have worked for some of the country’s top architectural practices, including Richard Rogers, David Chipperfield, Terry Farrell, and WilkinsonEyre. In these roles, I have gained many years of experience in graphic design for architecture and the built environment.
I believe a project should have a strong sense of process and exploration throughout its development. The act of creating a sketch, physical model, or drawing plays an important role in a design’s evolution. I enjoy conveying ideas in these ways to a team or end user, making them effective tools for discussion, collaboration, and ultimately, decision-making.
A highlight of my time at David Chipperfield Architects was the redesign of their website. The goal was to showcase the diversity and quality of their projects, celebrate the people and their contributions to the practice, articulate the principles the practice stands for, and provide essential practical information.
Outside of work, I continue to nurture my passion for design, particularly 20th-century artworks, textiles, ceramics, and furniture by creators such as Charles and Ray Eames, Robert Stewart, Arne Jacobsen, and Grayson Perry. I am also inspired by the St Ives School of 1940s Cornwall, which featured artists including Barbara Hepworth, Terry Frost, and Bernard Leach. Additionally, I enjoy cycling and walking locally, activities that help me relax and stay fit.
