Ella Oakley

I oversee the daily operations of the studio, ensuring everything runs smoothly. My responsibilities range from serving as the studio DJ to supporting the directors in managing day-to-day operations and administration.

I coordinate all the studio's events, exhibitions, and annual overseas trips — the best one so far being our trip to Budapest! My role is diverse, and I take pride in being a versatile member of the team.

My BA in Fine Art and my Master’s in Arts and Project Management have shaped my professional journey within exhibition spaces and creative organisations. The skills I’ve acquired are proving highly adaptable as I delve into the architecture industry. I also coordinate, source, and book the studio’s CPD sessions.

SEW has an infectious energy, and I am thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to learn about architecture, landscape, and urban design while collaborating with like-minded creative individuals. As a member of the SEW Social Steering Group, I help cultivate a vibrant studio culture, organising opportunities for colleagues to connect through sports, music, food, and engaging events.

Beyond the studio, I pursue my artistic passions by regularly visiting local and international art galleries and exhibitions. I love knitting, reworking clothes, and thrifting.
