Lewisham Shopping Centre - plans revealed at public consultation

From Saturday 11 November 2023, plans for the regeneration of Lewisham Shopping Centre, are on show to the public as part of a six month public consultation period. Outline planning is expected to be submitted next year.

The revamped shopping areas will create spaces for shops and cafes and multi-level landscapes including a raised park.

New housing will be a mixed tenure from affordable through to shared living and student and frontline worker housing.

Studio Egret West is the urban designer, architect and landscape architect for this project. The scheme showcases the benefits of blending these three disciplines together.

The Woolworth building, a 1930s Art Deco structure, will be retrofitted and given a 'Second Life'.
