This proposed transformation aims to create a thriving hub for science, innovation, and community life, and will help create a globally significant innovation district in Northeast Cambridge.
Not another campus; Our collective ambition is to create something more than a conventional science or business park. This is about shaping a place that supports skills, celebrates science and brings people together.
Alongside creating over 5,000 new jobs and delivering 350+ new homes, the proposed masterplan will also deliver part of a new high street, increase open space and biodiversity, and provide skills and education programmes to open pathways into careers in the science, innovation, and technology sectors.
Our plans champion circularity and reuse, including refurbishing and extending numerous existing buildings. This approach is paired with nature based solutions to create inclusive, engaging and experimental, climate resilient spaces.
As part of consultation, The Crown Estate recently hosted a public exhibition and Science Showcase, which was supported by @CambridgeScienceCentre and customers on Cambridge Business Park.
