David West spoke at the launch of a book which speculates on the smart growth of Bratislava.

Rozumne rastúce mesto

“Rozumne rastúce mesto” presents a vision of Bratislava as a polycentric city, where life does not take place only in the centre, but throughout the entire territory. It focuses on healthy urban development that enhances the quality of life for residents and addresses issues associated with urbanization, such as housing accessibility and urban sprawl beyond the city boundaries.

More than a dozen experts from the ranks of urbanism, architecture and spatial planning contributed to the book which was presented at a gala in the Old Market Hall in Bratislava, to an audience of more than 500 representatives of the private, public, state and non-governmental sectors.

SEW would like to thank Büro Milk and JTRE for their kind invitation to speak at the event, and credit to Marek Kikinder and Rybárová Vanesa for the photographs.

Thanks also to the authors of the book, Juraj Benetin - architect and urban planner, Martin Jenca - designer and communications strategist, and Miroslava Argalasova - urban planner. And a shout out to Milota Sidorova who chaired the event with great aplomb!
