Mayor of London Sadiq Khan joined the celebrations to officially open Brent Cross West and congratulate Barnet Council and its partners of the successful delivery of the project.

The Arbour, the new station entrance at Brent Cross Town, which provides a gateway into Brent Cross Town, was co-authored by Studio Egret West and Shedkm, with Studio Egret West retained to evolve the design through detail and construction stages.

The design for the station entrance includes a lofty timber canopy that covers a multi-level arrival sequence, picking up the masterplan's wider themes of wellbeing and access to nature by combining both the station functionality with a planted public space. The large-scale glulam timber frame was developed to sit comfortably between the two new office plots (3 and 4) and captures an ambition to activate as much of this new route as possible, with connections to the future adjacent buildings on multiple levels.

This is a space that brings nature into the Thameslink experience marking the arrival to this important new neighbourhood for North West London.
