Studio Egret West is looking for an Urban Designer to join its practice in Clerkenwell, London.
About
Studio Egret West is an award-winning transdisciplinary practice of architects, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, model makers and filmmakers working on a range of mixed use, place-making projects.
We have an expanding portfolio of exciting UK and international projects and are seeking a talented Urban Designer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and lateral thinker, with the ability to take projects into planning and beyond. You will have a track record of working on large-scale masterplanning projects, in the UK and overseas. A great imagination and graphic skills are a prerequisite!
Your workload will range from evolving large-scale framework plans to more detailed masterplans of varying densities and characters, focused on mixed use urban placemaking.

Required
demonstrable creativity and strong design ability across early RIBA stages (0–3)
experience working on large-scale, mixed-use projects in the UK and/or overseas
high density housing experience (preferably pre-planning stage)
sketching skills, to create design visions on paper or digitally
experience working in 3D CAD systems
good working knowledge of the Adobe Suite
a relevant UK work permit
Beneficial
proficiency in Revit will be advantageous
a degree in Urban Design or Architecture
excellent communication, coordination and client-facing skills
