Landscape Architect (Manchester Studio)

Studio Egret West is looking for a Landscape Architect to join its new Manchester Studio, based in the Makers Quarter Kampus.


About

With the main studio in Clerckenwell, London, Studio Egret West is growing a new satellite studio in Manchester. Studio Egret West is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice of 87; architects, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, model makers and filmmakers working on a range of mixed use place-making projects.

Our growing portfolio of UK and European projects leads us to seek a talented Landscape Architect to join our new Manchester Studio, within the Makers Quarter Kampus. This is an opportunity to get involved in the expansion of our practice, at the start of our second studio in the UK. Our Manchester base will build on the success of our Mayfield and Albert Bridge House commissions in Manchester, Cotton Quay in Salford and our latest project to lead the 4,500 home transformation of Holt Town.

We are looking for professionals with some experience working in large placemaking projects in the UK and in Europe. You will be a lateral thinker, problem solving and creative Landscape Architect looking to make a difference in matters that affect our world. You will be working on large-scale residential and mixed-use developments in the UK and in overseas.

Required

  • a postgraduate degree in landscape architecture

  • experience in developing landscape designs in conjunction with complex

  • masterplanning projects

  • the ability to work effectively in large project teams and within an international environment

  • knowledge of vertical landscapes, green walls and building integrated living systems

  • the ability to sketch/develop designs on paper as well as digitally, to deliver detailed designs

  • excellent communication and coordination skills

  • advanced CAD (2D and 3D) and Adobe Suite skills

  • relevant permit for working in the UK

  • Revit knowledge would be advantageous
