Landscape Architect

Studio Egret West is looking for a Landscape Architect to join its practice in Clerkenwell, London.


About

Studio Egret West is an award-winning transdisciplinary practice of architects, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, model makers, and filmmakers working on a range of transformative mixed-use, placemaking projects.

We have recently engaged with clients to deliver a range of large-scale mixed-use developments in the UK and in Europe, and are seeking a Landscape Architect to join our team.

You will gain further confidence from being alongside a studio of creative individuals who are dynamic in their approach. Uniquely positioned, you can expect to work on projects of all scales including urban design as well as architecture.

Required

  • A degree in Landscape Architecture

  • A Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) or working towards chartership is desired

  • Fluency in English, and a relevant permit for working in the UK

  • Experience delivering high-quality public realm or landscape-led projects across multiple RIBA workstages

  • Knowledge of UK planning policy, design guidance, and landscape-related legislation

  • Understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work and Landscape Institute Code of Conduct and Practice

  • Understanding of sustainable design principles, including biodiversity net gain, and climate resilience

  • Strong design sensibility with proven experience in concept development, planting design, and technical detailing

  • Excellent hand drawing and graphic presentation skills. The ability to sketch/develop designs on paper as well as digitally, to deliver detailed designs

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD and Revit; experience with Rhino and Lumion is desirable.

  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate with architects, engineers, and ecologists within an transdisciplinary context

  • Strong communication, organisational, and time management skills
