Manuela Soares

I am an HR professional with extensive experience working with creative people of diverse backgrounds.

I was born in Brazil, where I completed a postgraduate degree in Business Management. I also studied abroad – in the US where I did my last high school year, and in France where I went to the University of Linguistics for German and French studies. I always knew what fascinated me the most in life – different cultures and people!

Having worked in companies of high-calibre in Brazil and the UK – from medium-sized design practices to global consultancies – I have learnt that what differentiates a workplace is deeply rooted in its culture and the people who shape it.

Studio Egret West’s focus on social-responsibility and commitments to diversity and inclusion resonate with me. Having become an Employee-Owned Trust, SEW operates in a democratic and inclusive fashion, which aligns with my professional ambitions.

I am passionate about supporting staff to become the best that they can be. I believe that professional development enables individuals to live fulfilled and meaningful lives - unlocking opportunities for each person to make an impact on the lives of others.

What I hope to bring to the team, besides a ridiculous zest for life and a high work ethic, are opportunities for everyone to learn and to develop, whilst having fun in the process.
