Urban Designer

I like to think of urban design as the invisible sibling to architecture and landscape architecture.”

I like to think of urban design as the invisible sibling to architecture and landscape architecture. It finds the stories, analyses the context, and establishes the frameworks for a place. It is the activation of your favourite buzzy high street, how you find your way and how you feel comfortable and safe. It is about deeply listening to what has happened and imagining what might happen decades in the future.

My background as an architect allows me to wear ‘two hats’. I value the importance of place and people whilst understanding the complexities of delivering a built outcome. I believe strong urban design frameworks help to create more liveable, comfortable and accessible cities.

Prior to joining Studio Egret West, I have had the opportunity to work on a number of regeneration projects in inner-city areas as well as major urban extensions. I am passionate about developing strong relationships to enable a collective vision that is unique to each project.

At SEW, I am currently working on a masterplan in west London where regeneration creates an opportunity to stitch together new and existing communities.
