Daniel Onions

Senior Architectural Technologist

I see myself as a logical person, and I love the challenge of delivering an approved planning scheme on site.”

Originally, I began working in the industry as a builder with a local building company during my university studies. Once qualified, I started within a small home office practice, where I was exposed to numerous aspects of construction at an early stage. After a period of growth, I felt the need to further my professional development and moved to London. Here, I have been involved in a variety of exciting projects, ranging from traditional builds and timber frames to steel frames, refurbishments, and reinforced concrete frames.

Working with the contractor and design team to create an efficient building while maintaining the architectural vision is something I am passionate about. At my previous practice, this passion led me to deliver the SEW-designed high-rise scheme 'One Maidenhead,' an integral part of the redevelopment of the town centre.

Outside of architecture, I am a hugely active and sporty person, enthusiastically engaging in various activities. Climbing is a standout adrenaline rush for me, particularly the thrill of jumping off the wall attached to an auto belay — if you know, you know.
