Archie Brown
Part II Architectural Assistant
From an early age, I was fortunate to be immersed in the world of architecture and design, which naturally sparked my curiosity and shaped my career aspirations. I began my academic journey studying Geography at the University of Sheffield. However, a chance lecture from the Architecture Department profoundly inspired me, prompting a pivotal decision to transfer into their architecture programme. This marked the beginning of my passion for the field, and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring its many facets during my undergraduate studies.
After completing my Part 1 architectural studies in Scotland, I sought new opportunities to broaden my professional experience and immerse myself in London’s vibrant architectural scene. I pursued my Part 2 at Westminster University, where I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the discipline. Along the way, I gained invaluable experience working within a variety of practices, contributing to both large-scale developments and smaller, more intimate projects.
I am inspired by the power of storytelling and the rich histories embedded within sites, whether working on projects of a grand scale or a more personal one. Uncovering and honouring these narratives forms the foundation of my creative approach.
Outside of work, I find inspiration and balance through running, climbing, and cooking—activities that keep me active and imaginative. I also have a deep appreciation for film and art, which fuel my curiosity and passion for storytelling and visual expression.
At Studio Egret West, I am excited to continue refining my design abilities and contributing to innovative, meaningful projects that inspire and engage communities.
