What a fantastic evening at the Pineapple Awards - celebrating the strength of design in the UK and the impact of UK designers working internationally. We’re proud to have contributed to four shortlisted projects this year, and especially pleased to see two recognised as winners:
Lewisham Shopping Centre – winner of Future Place: Under 20ha.
Studio Egret West are masterplanner and landscape architect.
Congratulations to our client Landsec and the wider team including Archio Ltd, Mæ Architects Ltd, Studio MULTI and Quod.
Mayfield, Manchester Phase 1 – winner of Place in Progress.
Studio Egret West are masterplanner (including 500 homes and a new transport hub) and landscape architect.
An incredible collaboration with The Mayfield Partnership (Landsec, Manchester City Council, Transport for Greater Manchester and Platform4), alongside shedkm, Morris+Company and Bennetts Associates.
We were also delighted to see two further projects shortlisted:
Southbank, Bratislava – International Project
With Penta Real Estate, Snøhetta and Gro Architekti.
980 Great West Road, Brentford – Future Place
With Hadley Property Group, Haworth Tompkins, Metropolitan Workshop LLP and dRMM.
In each of these projects Studio Egret West has been fortunate to help blend a rich mix of ingredients - mixed uses, adaptive reuse, layered landscapes, community voices and a wide range of collaborators... to shape everyday wonder!
It was a real pleasure to share the evening with clients and collaborators across both winning and shortlisted teams, recognising the collective effort behind these ambitious projects.
