Studio Egret West has been appointed by Conygar Bristol Limited, as Lead Architect, Urban Designer and Landscape Architects, to shape a sustainable, residential led mixed-use neighbourhood for the South St Philip’s Marsh site in Central Bristol.
Originally marshland, the 15-acre site was then raised and converted into a railway siding with an engine shed in the 1900s. In the last century it has become home to a wholesale fruit market.
We are looking forward to co-authoring the vision for this pivotal site within the evolving St Philip's Marsh area of Bristol. Positioned adjacent to the River Avon and with a multi-layered past, this site deserves a fruitful and fitting legacy – with a ‘five a day’ offer shaping a healthy new neighbourhood.”
