Working alongside our developer partner U+I, we have now submitted our planning application for the first phase of the £1.4b transformation of Mayfield, Manchester.

At the heart of the scheme sits Mayfield Park, which Studio Egret West are the landscape architects for. Set to be Manchester’s first public park in 100 years, the design draws influence from the sites industrial history as well as a desire to establish a strong sense of nature in the city centre. A restrained palette of regionally sourced hard materials will be softened and brought to life with climate resilient planting, whilst restoration and naturalisation of the River Medlock will create rich urban ecology that will attract wildlife and make a significant contribution to Manchester's blue and green infrastructure ambitions.

Studio Egret West are also the overall masterplanner for Mayfield, and the architects for a 545-space multi-storey carpark which falls part of the first phase.
