2020 marks not only our debut into the AJ100, but we've also been nominated as one of eight practices in contention for the coveted AJ100 Employer of the Year 2020 award

Sponsored by Bespoke Careers, the category recognises the best practice for employees and is judged on human resources issues including staff satisfaction, workplace culture, benefits and staff turnover.

The shortlisted firms had to show what initiatives had been put in place to help motivate, train, and support their staff. The winner will be announced at the AJ100 awards ceremony in September.

This nomination, as well as our debut as #84 onto the AJ100 - the definitive list of the biggest UK architectural practices - marks an important milestone for us as Studio.

Whilst the last three months have seen everyone face unprecedented circumstances, we've been incredibly inspired and motivated by the unwavering creativity of our talented team. Although we're missing the conviviality of our physical studio, we're ensuring we are there to support each other, and continuing to keep the SEW spirit going via virtual means, including our weekly yoga sessions and SEW & Tell Fridays.

At SEW, there’s space for each of us to have ambition and to do things differently. And there’s always space for new voices. We offer a collaborative working environment, with the opportunity to develop your own knowledge and that of other disciplines within the studio. We also support individuals professional development including the pursuit of qualifications. We're a very sociable and inclusive place to work, and we offer a host of benefits including weekly yoga classes, drawing classes, international studio trips and an enhanced pension scheme.
