Junior Bid Coordinator

Studio Egret West is seeking a bid coordinator to join its team in London. This is an opportunity to join our high profile AJ 100 practice to shape and create our bids.


About

Studio Egret West is a multi-disciplinary practice of 70 urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers and model makers working on a range of mixed-use, place-making projects.

We are looking for an amazing and enthusiastic studio coordinator to join our award-winning architecture practice and showroom in Clerkenwell. Studio Egret West is employee-owned and as such is very focused on the quality of work-life for all our employees. The studio coordinator role is an important position that will be focused on leading internal communication within the practice and managing the physical, digital and social studio environment.

The core duties are:

  • running internal communication in the Studio, continuing and amplifying the informal atmosphere of a family, from working with the HR manager on day-to-day staff requests to arranging the social events and trips
  • managing the studio's relationship with everyone who is visiting or making contact, from typical front desk duties to managing studio events
  • working directly with the practice directors to help manage their time
  • looking after the studio's collective mental health, with the opportunity to become a mental health first aider. You will also be the studio's first point of contact for H&S-related matters
  • dealing with all studio facility matters such as repairs and studio upgrades

Preferred skills and experience:

  • proven experience of working within architecture or the development industry
  • advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and MS Office
  • excellent literacy, writing and editing skills
  • excellent time-management and organisational skills
  • prior experience in preparing bid documents is essential
  • ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently, prioritising key tasks
  • strong content generation skills with a keen eye for detail (including proofreading, quality checking, imagery and design)
  • ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • ability to coordinate people effectively and efficiently
  • reliable, hard-working and flexible

This role is perfect for a confident and hardworking individual who is happy to work in a fast-paced and highly creative environment. You must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Experience in using Microsoft and Adobe software is desirable. The role will generally require working five days a week in our Clerkenwell studio.
