I love colours and patterns – bringing an element of happiness to the places I work on is extremely important to me, and so is imagining myself in the shoes of the people who are going to live, work or play in these places. These are principles that have driven my work on the detail design of Erith Hills Primary School, a circular school building sited in a former quarry.

My particular interest lies in understanding and recording how spaces are inhabited. An ongoing exploration of the gaps between typical methods of representation, my illustrations have received a commendation in RIBAJ’s Eye Line drawing competition and shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards 2019.

Having grown up in a city-state, I am interested in how density can co-exist with good places to live. For High Road West, a mixed-use regeneration scheme in Tottenham, I led the development of new workflows in Revit and BIM, enabling it to be used for projects on an urban scale. This involved designing new ways of using the programme as part of SEW’s research and design initiatives.

I enjoy working with complexity and have helped to shape a wide range of projects of varying scales and work stages. These include East Wick and Sweetwater, a residential-led neighbourhood in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park with ambitious sustainability objectives, and Bow Common, a gasworks site in East London which will deliver a 1 hectare park meant for all members of the public. From understanding the big picture to focusing on important details, I enjoy being able to manage multiple aspects of each project while considering the needs of different stakeholders.

I completed my Masters degree at the University of Westminster in London, then worked at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners before joining SEW. I also previously studied at the National University of Singapore and Technische Universität München.
