I have an interest in landscape and architecture, where one becomes a playful extension of the other. Growing up in London, I have observed the effects of density on existing areas and I believe grounding buildings sensitively is important for new and existing communities to grow together.

Storytelling is important to record social interactions in a specific area. This is part of the understanding of any site to design something that fits as well as advances a community. I have constructed a collection of miniature drawings that depict my social interactions with residents in different communities in London that I won a drawing award for.

I have worked in Toronto for several years where I observed a young city developing with a growing skyline. Working here established my understanding of extreme climates and the importance of creative design and detailing buildings so we can live in these places comfortably.

At Studio Egret West, I strive to design inclusive playful environments where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can enjoy, get closer to nature and grow together.
